The Team
"It has always been my belief that a man should do his best, regardless of how much he receives for his services, or the number of people he may be serving or the class of the people served." - Napoleon Hill
Our members come from many
different backgrounds, but they all bring a strong commitment to our mission and
the community.
Handlers and canines are
required to maintain a high level of training. Canines are tested to insure a friendly
and stable temperament as well as the ability to search.
K-9 SAR TX currently has handlers
and canines training in air scenting, light disaster, tracking/trailing and cadaver search. Air scent dogs search for
any human scent in a given area.
These dogs usually work off lead and can cover a large area quickly. Tracking/trailing dogs search, using a
scent article, for a specific individual by following the path of that
person. Cadaver dogs are used to
locate human remains.
Here are some pictures of our team. Please visit the Events and News page for more pictures.
